First Timers focuses on key facets of becoming a homeowner. Participants will go through a process which they can look at the components of the home buying process. They will also get practical tools and strategies to deal with issues connected to buying a home such as credit, saving, mortgages and more. At the end of this program participants will have identified a clear map to home ownership.

The first component of buying a home is getting ready to buy a home. This covers what you need as far as savings, credit and more.

GETTING STARTED

Find out was has to be done to get the home ownership ball rolling. From contacting a lender to the role of a realtor, this section lays out how you go from wanting a home, to looking for a home.

Buying a home in real life is not like what you see on television. It is a job. It will require you to be flexible, firm and ready to sign multiple contracts. Together we will break down the task of going from looking at a home to buying a home.

Qualifying for a mortgage and finding a home is just the beginning of a home buyers list of duties. Section 4 of this class will educate you on the things you need to do to ensure the purchase of your home happens smoothly.

CLOSING DAY

From contract signing to getting your keys, we will cover the all important closing day. We will educate you on the fees, what you will be signing and everything in between.

The process of when you get a house to when you own a home, may take around a month. This sections gets you prepared to start thinking like an owner.
